Im just wondering what one would need to do to be allowed to work in a gym?
is it very strict, and you need a degree behind you, or would it prehaps be more based on your experience within a gym environment, or prehaps there would be a training period, in which you would be trained:confused:

i would just like to seek out opinions and personal experiences, as i know this board is read and added to by a varied group of individuals from all over the country,

    thank you for your time:D

The majority of chain gyms would require a minimum of an NCEF/NCEHS cert.
Other qualifications will be accepted depending on the gym and recruiter.
NASM, Premier, ITEC and so on.
I doubt you would get a job in a chain gym without some sort of certificate.

cool, was just wondering, i know ther are some amazing trainers out there, but some are absolute pants, sometimes i wonder how the hell they got the job in the first place:confused:, but like i said some are great.

it would be good however if more of the good traners held work shops on how to preform certain lifts, front squat is my problem lift, i feel it in my back to much, when its meant to put the emphasis more on your abs Hmmmmm, anyhow thanks again for the speedy replies:)
