Is that Lactic-Acid?

    I did an hour and a half of intensive cardio today and wasn't feeling tired like i normally do so i went to do some weight exercises immediately after and when i went to use the leg extension machine i could barely lift my normal weight. My legs felt heavy and stiff at the top and i was really confused.

    Is that lactic acid? And what do i do to get rid of it so that i can continue with my workout?

    Yes, sounds like it. You were also probably suffering from glycogen depletion.

    The best way to deal with it is to avoid it by working your legs before you do your run. Even if you don't pass the lactate threshold running, you'll still be more tired than ideal for lifting.

    The good news is that hitting the lactate threshold is a big trigger for growth hormone, so if you worked through it, you may see better results this week.

    Sounds more like general fatigue. It would be very unusual to only feel the lactic after the cardio, unless you felt it during?

    I think what people call lactic acid actually a build up of hydrogen ions, and the lactic acid is actually what removes the hydrogen ions, therefore it is a good thing

    something along those lines anyway...

    Lactic acid buildup would only occur during fast sprints or lifts, it would only buildup to the entent that you would notice during cardio work if you were doing HITT programs of some sort or something similiar on them
    As to the comment on hydrogen ions, hydrogen ions become present due to lactic acid causing the pH level to drop, they help restore it.
