I'm not from Cork but stumbled across some youtube video's
of Dancing Dave when looking up some vids on Limerick.

Anyone got info on this guy he seems like a character!
How Famous a local character is he?

Dont know if I should feel sorry for the guy to be entertained buy him.
Kinda reminds me of the brother from the film theres something about Mary.

From some of the vids it looks like those headphones are not plugged into
    anything!!

Saw a local character here in Limerick for the first time the other night too.
He's some oldish bloke that walks the streets with his socks outside his shoes,
and thinks he is in the army, he goes around doing all the old Irish foot drill, with
a stick over his shoulder and a bag of clothes.

I'd love to see a website of different towns local colorful characters.
twas the first time I had seen images of a towns local character online,
so Dancing Dave is only getting more famous.

Yeah sometimes he doesnt actualy have the headphones plugged into anything.
To be honest though a lot of people treat him like crap and the little scumbags around the city hassel him all the time. A harmless fello but he has some temper on him when people annoy him too much.

Yeah, Eamonn is his real name apparently. Mad for the snuff and 2litre bottles of cheap cola. Harmless. Gets hassled by scum alot unfortunatly.

Yeah usually see snuff all down the jacket and him being jeered at by local eejits! Funniest thing ive seen him do.....a guy got out his ipod and asked him 'you got one of these boi?'. So dave whips out the jack on his headphones (which arent connected to anything) and an apple and shoves the jack into the apple saying 'yeah check out my ****ing apple ipod' xD laughed my ass off all day!

Making a website of colourful characters...

Nice play on words there, but you are essentially talking about making an e-freakshow for people to marvel at.

Yeah apparently, yesterday. Heart attack or some such. He will be missed, despite the mocking some used to give him, he was an institution in Cork!

    It's true he is dead.

I saw him robbing the bank in Mitchelstown but the ERU took him down. A fatal shot to the legs cause of death.
