Ger Killally sobbed in court yesterday as he told the judge that he needs €4,000 a week to meet his household expenses, which include €1,500 a month for electricity costs and €42,000 a year for health and life insurance policies for him and his wife Naomi. The outgoings for his nine-bedroom Edenderry home, pitcured, amounted to some €384,000 for the year.

For this guy in Post 1 I'd fell sorry for anyone whose business failed. I certainly don't have the guts to be self-employed and good luck to anyone who is.
But he was in corrupt land deals, he got what he deserved

Fúck him. Hang him out to dry. Make an example of him. If you're a legitimate, honest, hard-working business man, then you deserve all the big houses and multiple cars you can afford. If you make secret, illegal profits, you're a fúcking criminal and deserve to be punished. Doesn't matter how little or much you have.

Those numbers just goes to show what Ireland have become, how the super rich spend an amount on their house monthly that would keep a small family with food and clothes for 6 months or more.

    I'm not sorry for him.

Whatever about the rights and wrongs of what he has done, crying in court like that was pathetic. What a little pissant. For gods sake man, where is your dignity?

Dont think it has much to do with begrudgery, €1500 would probobly cover most peoples gas and electric for the year!

Sounds like a scumbag, and as a previous poster said why you bother crying in court.... you got caught take it like a man...

Ah come on now lads, this guy had no problem ripping everyone else off when things were good for him and now he's crying in court about his massive house and 08 Audi, no sympathy and I'm not a begrudger if your a decent man and work for what you have fair play but there are people out there starving to death and wondering where the next meal is going to come from and how they can provide for their family after next month.

Worst case scenario for this guy he'll still have a million or two be it from the house sale or not have to buy a normal but still very nice home and life comfortable doing little or sweet **** all for life. So in short...f*** him.

You can be sure the other 8 million is stashed somewhere safe that he can get at when he loses this 8 mil.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 217 ✭✭Alcatel

The reason his 8m has been frozen is because the taxman has found out that he's a lying, stealing b**tard and they want their pound of flesh.

I'd suggest he do something like cancel his policy, screw the car, shut off electricity to the house and move into some tiny rented place or similar. If he can't afford it, tough.
