Hiya, im doing bench press, squats, power clean, shoulder press and hammer curl at the moment.

I dunno what muscles hammer curl uses, but I was looking for the best bicep excercise with either barbell or dumbell.(Because at the moment I dont think im using biceps in any excercise except hammer curl?)So would bicep curl be a good excercise to take up because I think I am already using all the other muscles that hammer curl uses except bicep?

Yes bicep curls. Where is the back work in your routine? Dumbbell row is a great exercise that works the back as well as hitting the biceps

Replace the hammer curl with pull ups /chin ups.

I dont have a pull up bar at my house.
So do bicep curl instead of hammer curl?
And take up dumbell row for back work?3 sets x 5 reps?(What im doin for most other excercises at the moment.)
So am I already using the same muscles in other excercies so hammer curl is pointless?Or is bicep curl just a much better replacement excercise in general?

BTW for protein powders, do I determine the quality of it by looking at the amount of amino acids per weight?I was taking optimum 100% whey protein, but now my dad bought this one called big whey(and I ran out of the other one so).Im pretty sure the big whey beats the other one in amino acids by a mile.I also see they do another protein called pro matrix, which one is better?

Ive seen the optimum 100% whey one get best supplement and best protein powder awards on a very popular site, thats why i purchased it in the first place.

optimum can do no wrong in my opinion, pure quality protein 90% isolates or something, not gonna get much better than that

Then get one! they are great. If you have an attic you can stick wood across it, now just lash a strong towel over it and do towel pullups

I also have adjustable straps and can put a barbell in them to make a trapeze chinup bar.

Well seeing as its the second ingredient, theres no way it can be anywhere near 90%.

My attic is not designed like that. There is no room directly under it.Its very small and is above 2 rooms.

u sure on that dacookie? what one are u looking at? its 24g protein per 30g powder, u see very little going higher

Okay well I was wrong, but your proabably not right aswell. It says for first ingredient protein blend(isolate, concentrate, peptides.)And it says its 77% protein altogether I think.Isolate is 90% protein. The big whey one has much more amino acids though so I want to know which one is better.

Can anyone answer my other questions?

Firstly the muscle you are hitting with the hammer curls is on the outside of your arm between your bicep and tricep its called brachii. I love dumbell curls
