Seems to be a pretty cool game, I'm still only getting used to the workings of it though!

Yeah, seems pretty good. Although they need to work a lot on the interface. Very hard to get a good general view of your players/ratings/positions.

Means you have to constantly go between loads of screens to see who needs training in particular areas etc.

I see your point Noopti, but considering the detail it goes into its a pretty small, and understandable problem.

I have only been playing for a few days, but one hint when signing players - press the icon 'Price' in the Transfer Market, which pulls up all the players who currently cost '$1', most of whom have yet to be bid upon. If your patient enough, you can sign good young players with relatively high CSR points (7,000-8,000) for practically nothing.

Another thing - you can't demote players to the youth squad, only promote them. And you can only promote one a week.

Currently making 'shortcuts' for all clubs on this thread, so I can get around to destroying playing ye in friendlies.

I wonder if it's improved since it's first release, i was lucky enough to win silver account or something for it back in 07 through a RWC prediction site and tbh i found it very clunky and annoying. Anyone here used to play world rugby manager before it was taken down? Now that was a simple but effective manager game.

You were too late, the team that sent you the friendly request got a game with somone else.

Anyone have any idea of this problem:

Basically I am trying to change my captain and whenever I change him and try and save I get an error which says "Please make sure the Captain has two replacements".

Now, I figured that I musn't have two replacements set for him on the bench, so I checked, but I have two replacements set for him already.

Any ideas, am I reading the error wrong?

Is there any way of tagging the players positions onto their stats, as its a bit annoying that it doesnt say what positions they play.

Congrats. You can put his position in notes, or maybe even give him a nickname?

I prefer that the player's positions aren't listed. It tests your knowledge, and gives an added depth to the game. Really, a quick look at his stats tells you were he should start.

Well done. Useful exercise anyway, learned a few things. My reserve kicker missed a conversion from in front of the posts, obviously needs a bit of training.

What I like is that you can just spend a little time every day with it, it doesn't take up hours and hours (which I don't have)
