Headache after treadmill

    new to gym. 45 years old now after about 15 min on treadmill 3 min at 8.5 km/h, then 1 min at 7.5 , then 3 min at 8.5 .... i get a pretty bad headache.
    drinking pleanty water. any ideas

    You should go to your doctor for a check up. It doesn't sound right whatever it is. Best to leave it to the professionals ;)

    No word yet from the OP but, just something i thought was interesting, i read recently that some people get headaches or become dizzy on the treadmill as their brain can't adjust to the fact that they are trying to move forward yet nothing in front of them is coming closer.

    I rarely, if ever get headaches but having just recently started back at the gym doing 2 hours a day (1 hr 30 of cardio) im getting a sudden onset of a headache.

    I read it could be to do with dehydration, admittedly i dont drink much before my workout because i tend to get a stitch easily.

    Also it could be to do with the lack of electrolytes as you're sweating them out hence the need for something like powerade etc

    It could be low blood sugar or tension in the neck.....list is endless and im defo. no expert.
