    It's not that simple.

    Height and activity are just two things you also need to consider.

    Additionally, there are good and bad dietary choices. Merely limiting yourself to x amount of calories is not enough, as they need to come from various sources.

    Have a read of the stickies both here, and on Diet & Nutrition.

    The best balance can be struck by a combination of good diet and a reasonable amount of exercise.

    Edit: To answer the specific question, one pound of fat is equal to about 3,500 calories of energy.

    I had a look on the stickies and i think i need 3020 to maintain my weight.
    I'm less 1020 calories a day -which is 7000 a week. Funny thing is i'm not losing weight.

    It could be a few things;

    1) You're not eating enough to lose weight
    2) You're overestimating your calories
    3) You're eating the wrong kind of food

    Holy bayjaysus Bossarky!

    Man ya can't just go around eating 2000 kcals a day, that'll make yer balls small.
    For someone your height around 3200 would help ya lose weight and 2800 if you're going to the extreme with an already very low BF%!

    Gadget? Its just a website? Something you can have on your PDA/Mobile would be more useful no?

    Isnt the real answer to your problem training or exercise. My sister is on weightwatchers and I get a little fed up with her always trying to find the easiest way to lose weight. She does no exercise but because she limits her food somewhat she expects to see results. I say earn the nice foods. Anything worth having takes hard work to achieve and unless you are exercising along with a good diet I doubt you'll see decent results. But maybe you do, I just cant tell from the previous posts.
