AFAIK, if it's been passed into the 22, it can't be kicked out on the full, but if it's carried into the 22, then passed within it, it's grand.

"If the ball is passed or run back into the 22 and then kicked out on the full before a tackle, ruck or maul is effected, the resulting lineout is taken from where the kick was made. It was because the ruck was inside the 22. I were wrong, but at least you are too. :P Stupid rule though methinks.
