Today, for the first time in around 18 months of training, I managed to do some unassisted dips. I have been lifting weights for the whole period and using the assisted machine for dips, but over the last few weeks found that I needed less and less weight to complete my sets.

So today I decided to give the unassisted dips a shot, and I almost completed an entire set, which I was chuffed with. A minor achievement, I know, but it made me feel really good :)

    Now on to unassisted pull-ups!!

breaking a goal of any kind makes it worth it...fair play...next stop weighted dips...you will find after a while breaking the goals becomes addictive and you will constanlty be setting little challanges for yourslef!!!

My big breakthrough was breaking body weight squat and deads at the start of feb. Since then i seem to be plagued by niggly injuries which i pick up playing 5a side, the latest being a badly twisted ankle which is still quite tender a week later. Haven't been able to push on too much from that since. However my next goal is break body weight on the bench. Am about 20kg off it at the mo, so not expecting it to be easy, but its something to push for. More immediate goal is to add at least 5kg to the big 3 by the end of april. Oh, and congrats to the OP. Keep up the progress.
