Aw I know yeah, water is the only thing we're really meant to drink for hydration!! Still though, i love annoying my body by purposely dehydrating it and then drinking water.

Drink water. If you are thirsty after drinking you are showing diabetic symptoms. No panic, unless its always that way.

Yes, so you buy more. Toothpaste also damages your teeth causing visits to the dentist. Actimal causes withdrawal systems in your stomach making you go drink it again.

    May not be true.

Nope, but lots of people mistake the body needing something for "thirst", if you have a craving that you can't satisfy it's a good bet your body is low on minerals or essential nutrients.

It could also be mild dehydration and the body will keep sending you thristy signals until tissue fluid levels build back up.

A lot of fizzy and tasty drinks will leave a tang in the mouth which will make
one thirsty. The worst is Lucozade; beautifull when cold, but won't quench a thirst for long!

Thats'a myth. It's the best, but not the only sub for hydration.
Once the drink is heavily water based, there should be goodness

Your either a vampire or an alcho, pepsi max can't help you now...

Unusual for Pepsi Max to do that, no sugar in it. Cidona makes me insatiably thirsty. When there's a delicious ice cold bottle in the fridge, I keep swigging from the bottle every 10 minutes 'til it's gone:o

Only good thing about pepsi max is the rollercoaster named after it.

Lots of caffeine in pepsi max, so you'll piss a lot. Body knows this, so tells u to drink.

I reckon it does. I use it on night shift. I use to use coke zero or diet coke, but they just didn't keep me awake for the long periods. So, a colleague told me pepsi max is totally loaded with caffeine. I reckon they're right because I always stay awake no bother with a bottle of it.

I've given up drinking coke/pepsi. Only drink water now. During an 11 hour shift in work, I would regularly drink around 5-6 litres of water.

If you are continually thirsty it could be diabetes....if not drink water,I dont think soft drinks really quench thirst they are only for putting alcohol in

Lilt is the worst... like the taste but it makes me so thirsty

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 406 ✭✭Disease Ridden

Aw no I dont be thirsty constantly!! I drink at least 6 pints of water a day you know. But I find pepsi max in particular just makes me really thirsty!! I think the artifical sweetners dry out your mouth or something. Also, maybe your body uses up some of the water already present in the body to diute said sweetners in the blood

    What is it with that?

I heard that before - drinking a hot mug of tea on a warm day can cool you down

    How can that be

Popular theory in old medicine, not quite true though! It's based on: by raising your body temperature slightly (through the hot liquid) you will sweat more and thus will cool you down.

Similar to when people are on extreme diets, they will drink only ice cold water as you burn more calories than drinking just cool water.

I actually really really prefer pepsi max to coke or diet coke. Especially when it's very chilled! mmm!

That's the basis of spicy Indian food, or so I've heard

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

I prefer regular Coke, diet tastes horrible.

Pepsi is too sweet for my liking.
