1 - I'm confused about olive oil. If you already get good fat in your diet, say fish oil and borage oil, will having olive oil as well give you any added health benefits, or is it just healthier than some other oils?

2 - Can you lose fat and gain muscle (even just a bit of muscle) at the same time?

im not sure about the part 1

regarding part 2, i was 102 kilos in september and my bench was about 40 kilos max, now im about 89 kilos and my max bench is 80 kilos, ive put on quite alot of muscle and lost alot of fat also.

but i think it may have to do with ur Body fat percentage as people with a lower one will find it alot harder to burn it off while i found it quite easy cause mine was high

1 - yes olive oil has many benefits, in fact it is supposed that those on the mediteranaen live longer due to their large consumption of olive oil. it is very good for your skin also. i beleive the current longeveity record holder used copious amounts of the stuff, even 'washing' her face in it every day. however, in terms of fitness, fats are more difficult to turn into energy and so make it harder to perform the same excercise routines, inducing more lethargic workouts.

2 - yes. while fat cannot be turned directly into muscle, excercise has this effect. excercising will both consume fat as an energy source and tear whatever muscles are being used, forcing them to grow back bigger.
