And a long-sleeve version in wool, please.

Is this not exploitative of the fans, making them fork out for a new kit every 12 months?

Why a new jersey ... you want the old one to be more euro? I love the one we have at the moment.

It's to create an elite...the proud few with the original jersey versus the army of Freds with the new one.

We always have to progress. Besides, if we get a new jersey, then our old one is officialy retro :)

Will see what I can come up with.... bear in mind though, that there's the design cost all over again if we get a new kit (adding 300 odd quid onto the order) -anyone want to sponsor it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,995 ✭✭✭✭blorg

The current jersey is very good, difficult to see how it could be improved upon... Unless you were thinking of adding a tiger print?

On the one hand I would certainly buy a new jersey design and it's good to have the variety; on the other hand having just the one jersey gives us a bit of visual cohesion if we are headed out in a group or on a sportive, etc.

There can always be improvement! (for example, a faux 6 pack look is always good)

Particularly attractive on the beer-gutted fifty-something club veteran, I find.

I've already got that on my club jersey. One faux six pack is enough for me, thanks.

... ah come on, be innovative, think outside the box, draw fake boobs instead of the 6 pack or something.

This is a pretty special design........... I think its the dogs knob.

As for sponsoring I could be persuaded.

As for the faux six pack -- not required here. I have a real keg.

Oh yes -- this was designed by our friendly team as carvalho.

Blue schmooo. We gotta get noticed in these things.

OK, the pink addition is better. But it needs some black.

Pink and White for me please.

Why not just do an away version of last year's kit, i.e. blue on orange. Then at least if a mix of the jersies were out togeher it would be obvious we were all from the same "club".

Another cool kit -- design not colors obviously.

Would you like custom naming, i.e. "Bamboo", on the kit.

It has verticle stripes, no? Shudder.

What about a variation of CSF Navigare? With pink and black obviously. The arm warmers would be awsome :)

Noooo! Their kit looks like a clown costume.

Much preferred their old orange kit when they were Ceramica Panaria.

Got a quote the other day for some custom kit for myself -- sponsored by my business of course.

    2*Short-sleeve jersey 1/4 zip
    1*Training jacket
    2*Bib shorts (light weight)
    2*Bib tights
    Design

    Total was around 700.....

I'm still deciding whether to go ahead though as it expensive.

Title for the world's most boring kit goes to... Rapha Condor.

I like the current design, why not just switch out the colors and keep the same pattern?

If your going for pro-team kits then I like the new Garmin one.

How about a boards test team, devoted purely to trying out new fashions and euro accessories?

    My dwindling bank balance.

Argyle? We've already got a pattern thing going on with the current kit.

If we change the colours and you want the jersey then you still gotta pay for it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,505 ✭✭✭✭DirkVoodoo

But it will be cheaper no? Is there not a one off design fee on new designs that was rather substantial.

Anyway, get yer crayons out and start trying to convince people!

That was all subsidised by Boards and Cullen Book-keeping, from what I remember.

that rapha condor kit is beautiful.

If some one was to sponsor the design of the short sleeve jersey could a company name/ web address be put on the jersey?
If so, how much space will they have on the jersey?

The reason I ask is that I know some one that might be interested.

Here ya go Raam, the "Away" Jersey :)

(Just a quick photoshop, the small boards logo should be pink too. And the eyes that look grey could be white)

like the rapha condor kit, the livestrong gear lance wears training is quite tasty. like the boards.ie kit, there are few colours, minimum logo coverage and all in all it is well designed. think we should remember things like this when designing the new one.

Lance doesn't look too pleased about someone taking his photo.

It's a bit too "bumblebee man" looking for me.
