but Im not seeing too many constructive suggestions as to what might have caused it outside of the obvious point that its a sound that sounds like a laugh.

    And?

Are you surprised by this? You post an unidentifiable sound on the Internet and make the point that no one is able to identify it?

Here's a piece from the Guardian website this month on the Randi challenge. It describes in some detail a first-round test done on a woman called Patricia Putt who claims to be a medium. She didn't pass.

Conditions are all agreed between subject and testers in advance, and the whole proceedings are videoed.
Indeed, all claimants must sign a written statement confirming that they agree that the test is fair before it goes ahead. That does not mean, of course, that claimants will not change their minds after they have taken the test and failed it. It is a rare claimant who does not come up with excuses to explain away their failure.

Mrs Putt was not such a rare claimant.
The day after this column was submitted for publication, Mrs Putt had reflected upon the test and decided that the protocol had put too many barriers in her way for her to demonstrate her psychic ability.

"With them [the volunteers] being bound from head to foot like black mummies, they themselves felt tied so were not really free to link with Spirit making my work a great deal more difficult."

For the record, no volunteers were "bound" and Mrs Putt did not speak to any of the volunteers after the test. One can only assume that she picked up on their feelings of being "tied" via her psychic powers.

Iamhunted must be the worst poster on the Boards. Really you are condescending and immature. You accuse people of being cynics when you yourself are the most cynical poster I have ever seen. you find 'evidence' and tweak it to suit what you believe.
If you believe in paranormal events, prove it then everybody will believe you and you will be a hero to countless people, including me. But if you are going to present noises on tape and claim it was a ghost laughing (Why would a ghost laugh in the first place!?) then pack it up, you are never going to be convinced that it doesn't happen and debating it is absolutely pointless.

Scientific Method is established, for the most part, if paranormal events could be proven they would have been proven long long ago.

Now grow up and present some actual evidence.
