Does anyone know anything about this gym? I'm just wondering what the facilities are like, the website is not very informative, but it's cheap and close to work.

Could you tell us if there is a decent free weight section; squat racks, dip/chin stations, etc. Does it get very busy, so much so that you can't get a rack?

Its never really busy as the membership base is not that big.

There is every weight you need - cambered bars, thick handled dumbbells, dumbbells as high as you want, micro plates, magnet plates, olympic rings, cardio equipment, boxing bags, foam rollers and on and on.

Its open from 1-9.30pm monday through friday and hours are shorter on weekend as usual.
    Vids of gym here -

It does not get much better for the serious trainee and with it being not that busy most people know each other and are welcome to work in when rack/benches are in use.

anyone on boards is free to drop in for a workout to check it out just give me a shout or call the gym.

Total Fitness Sandyford is another option to consider. Very good weights setup/selection imo. Got the usual as well e.g. pool, sauna, running track, squash courts.

Really like TF Sandyford, its big, plenty of equipment too, but when you consider that the difference in annual fee is 425 euro, its definetely something to think about.

True. My TF membership was only 475 in one easy payment.

I dropped in after work today.

It's a very small gym but tbh I can't see that being anything but a good thing. I spoke with Robert who was very personable and enthusiastic, I arranged a session with him next week where he'll be spending a good hour with me, showing me correct form etc which I've never really been shown in other gyms, I'm very happy with this, especially when it comes to the big compound lifts like squats, deadlifts etc, as I've never felt comfortable enough to attempt them on my own.

He could have seen me tomorrow but I'm dying with a cold:(

Overall it seems like a great little gym.
