    Hi all,

Just wondering if you would like to see an airsoft site in Kildare.

If so can you post where and wether you would like an indoor or an outdoor venue!

We are considering opening up in the fare county and are looking for feedback.

    Thanks all.

    That'd suit me :-)

Maynooth area is near the college and on a motorway (disclaimer, I'm not living in maynooth, but it's handy :-))

celbridge or maynooth would be great. I think you'd be better off with an outdoor site. sure why not do both ;) sure put one in Lucan while your at it. it's well served by buses, trains in adamstown and eventually a luas. go on you know you want to

    Leixlip would be better :D

Yes please. An outdoor site would be appreciated. Uss poor boggers nearly get lost every time we try to travel to The Big Smoke.

We have a site in mind but the idea just came to mind that it would be good to have a place that people would find easy to get to!

Maynooth, Clebridge or Leixlip are good locations, since they're all situated on the bus and train commuter routes.

Naas/Newbridge/Kildare town areas would be excellent - better for guys coming up the N7,N8 and N9.Bigger potential catchment area :p and more difficult for players to get to Swords, Malahide etc than from the other towns mentioned.

    Just my 2c.

opps, forgot - outdoor would be great too.

Build a site in naas kildare or newbridge and i WILL be there for the opening and regularly

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 683 ✭✭✭Head_Hunter

Stick with the commuter towns close to the commuter belt, there is a much larger catchment population in these areas, thus more potential players.

+1 Celbridge or Maynooth would be great.

    The students from Maynooth +
The lads from the country +
Both accesible (mototway, train, busses) for people from dublin or elsewhere +
the land shouldnt be to bad price wise out around Maynooth.
    = Succes

    Go for it.

With all the building sites on hold now. I would love to see a skirmish site on a half finished estate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,893 ✭✭✭Dread-Lock

As people have already said Celbridge or Maynooth would be great. They're easy to get to by train and bus. I've never taken the bus out there myself but others have said they're are buses so I'll take their word for it ;).

BUT if you are opening a site, open it near enough to the bus stop or train station. Because its no good if we have to walk 2 miles with all our airsoft gear after we get off the bus/train.

Oh and either outdoor or indoor would be grand with me, but if I had to choose I guess I'd pick outdoor.

Well we had some issues opening the indoor site (as you can imagne), we are a registered partnership with the cro (company registration office), we are registered for Vat, Tax, we are insured and have a good record so far. We are hoping these are qualities that will stand for us when applying for a change of use!

I'm sure we will be grand!

Anywhere in the Leixlip Maynooth Celbridge area would be fantastic I know many people that play airsoft and are from Leixlip(including myself:)).If you open up near a train line or bus route business will flourish. If this actually happens it will be great!!

    EDIT
    P.S outdoor would be better

We haven't told a waffle yet dude, people doubted someone would take the risk on an indoor site but sure here we are.

Long story short if its doable we will do it!

maynooth would be exalent theres loads of land that isnt used and a lot of it is woodland to
second bonus it would probably be within waliking distance from me
and if its in maynooth i could help with marshaling if you want

If this is going to be run anything like the warehouse, then I've no doubt this is going to be a very professional site, well build, run and executed, with the highest of standards in marshalling and site practice.

Has my business straight away...aslong as I've got lifts :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 747 ✭✭✭mafiaboy

i can see it get getting alot of biz coz im sick of paying for (1) petrol (2) tolls to these sites on the north side im alway paying about 30euro petrol 6 euro before i even get to game...

Celbridge,Maynooth and Leixlip are all on the Dublin bus line,so handy even for people from Dublin to get to,like the huge Lucan population.

If it ends up in Newbridge or Naas however you won't get that. You probably wouldn't even get people from North Kildare like the 3 towns I mentioned above. People do drive, but not everyone, plus getting the bus cuts down on petrol costs etc. I live in Celbridge and if there was something on in Naas or Newbridge that I needed to attend,I wouldn't be able to get there because I don't drive yet.I'm not sure if Bus Eireann run buses but if they do there certaintly not many of them.

Dont mind him! Loads of buses go to naas! Millions! Well a fair amount anyway. (and the maynooth people can get the private bus that runs to naas)
