The lad playing the site pass teacher is a mate of mine and the pupil in his late 50s is his father. I don't know any of the rest of the cast.

Storyland appears to be a knock-out competition, personally I reckon it might be RTE looking for an heir to the 10 minute slots Langerland has had a monopoly on for so long. I've been watching these Bucks since a mate from Ballina showed me the Western People article promoting them a few months back (I'm from Meath myself) and I reckon they're capable of delivering much more, there's any amount of scope for a series of 30 minute comedies about the oddities and quirkiness of life in rural Ireland. Fair play to them!

It's pretty good, but it's certainly not original - it's Trailer Park Boys set in Mayo. However, I found myself laughing a lot and I don't offer criticism, just something for you to compare it to :)

I'm one of those that like local humour.
A sketch is funnier if it's set in Galway/Mayo/Ireland rather than America.
    The accents are great :D

The Trailer Park Boys are set in Canada.....not America.

That being said, there could be a market in the States for the Hardy Bucks.

    The accents are great

I think they ham up the accent a bit too much, after a while it starts to grate. Some people here do speak like that, but not everyone. If they concentrated more on what they say rather than they way they say it, it would be alot funnier.
