    hey folks

I go to the gym to assist me in losing weight and id say 99.9% of the products you can get in a gym are all geared at putting on weight, build muscle mass etc.

You dont see much of the opposite.........HOWEVER???

After reading a post here (sorry i cant find it ) about the science behind fat could i take these supplements ???

The idea behind it is the more good muscle i have the more fat i can burn......

    Would this be right ?

Indeed this would be right. The most effective way of burning calories is mixing up some cardiovascular work (i.e. something that gets your heart rate going for at least 30 mins, 2 -3 times per week), throw in some weight lifting to add lean muscle (which will continue to burn calories long after you have left the gym) consume plenty of water (2-3 ltrs per day) and cut out the junk. The weight will fall off my friend, there is the science, no need for magic pills or potions.

A protein shake (simple whey) with some carbs after a workout won't make you get "big", but will help with recovery. So yes, you could take a supplement.

I know that drinking loads of water is really important, but can anyone explain to me how/why it helps you loose weight? Is it just that it fills you up and you eat less?
