Hi guys, recently i Lost 2 stone , I went from 14 stone to 12 stone in about 3 months by cutting out junk food. I did no exercise , Although I lost 2 stone I still have a flabby sort of look.
I started exercise yesterday by going for a 15-20 minute jog. I found it really tough as its my first exercise in ages but Am definitely going to try and jog 3 times a week.
Is this a good exercise for losing the belly??

If you were limited to 20mins per session 2-3 times per week then your best bet is probably lifting heavy which will increase your metabolism and have you buring calories all week long developing and maintaining new muscle.

I personally would not run or jog since every mate of mine who does/did has messed their knees up from it! puts me right off. I cycle a lot though, it is more efficient and useful, e.g. commuting, going to shops etc, far more incentive and reward than aimless running.

+1 on what Rubadub said BUT if you're insistant on starting jogging use the C25K programme, I found it good for limiting aches and pains where as when I use to start back running I'd usually be injured by week 4 (plus my knees are already fooked). Run on grass & get decent trainers and you'll be flying!
    Good luck.

I'm not sure of that Rubadub. I never have the slightest problem running but I find cycling tricky for my knees particularly in a high gear or on hills

Does that C25K Programme really work. Im really unfit and havn't ran in quite a long time. I will be prob jogging using Assix shoes. I hear that its ok to run with them shoes.??

Asics are pretty good. Best trying on a few different brands Asics are pretty narrow fitting that may or may not suit you.

Go to a running shop and get proper running shoes. I got a pair from asics from ampibian king in bray. They spend a good 20 minutes getting you sorted.

I found it worked for me. I used it late last Summer.I'm 5'6 & I bulked up 12 1/2 stone and was only doing BJJ and Muay Thai for my cardio so I wasn't extremely fit. I decided I was gonna fight at sub 70kg (11st) in October in the BJJ Irish open & made weight no problem between that programme & diet. I also use it whenever I need to cut weight, usually just 1/2 a stone though!
