Get a decent bike and cycle to work (if you are working). If your employer will agree you could do the bike scheme thing. http://www.bikescheme.ie/

Cycling to work is one of the best things I took up. I cycle in 20mins and would need to allow ~45mins to allow for traffic, actually maybe more these days it is getting even worse. So I get in 40mins exercise everyday and end up with more spare time because of it. Now if I had to set aside time to exercise then you could say I am freeing up even more spare time. And money saved on petrol, car, gym etc. It wakens you up in the morning, many presume you will be knackered, I arrive nice and woken, when driving or on the bus I would arrived stressed from sitting in traffic jams.

Also you could walk everywhere, and get a chinup bar at home and do bodyweight exercises, www.simplefit.org

BTW I would advise you to do you weights first in the gym as you are full of energy and will be able to lift to the best of your ability. Actually if you are walking or cycling during the week I would only bother doing weights in the gym. Check out www.exrx.net and www.stronglifts.com
