With Offaly being such a large county stretching from Edenderry to Birr and beyond, its a considerable size of a county, so where in Offaly are you from?

Nice to see a couple of fellow Gracefield folk. It's not mentioned that much on boards.ie, but Portarlington in general is getting alot of posts on the Laois side.

Always thought it funny that most of us went to school and Mass on the Offaly side but (with the exception of the Hawthorn, which was too close to home!!) had to go to the Laois side to get drunk.

Am living in Wexford now, but you can't take the Biffo out of an Offaly man!

Everyone in Pullagh has their own turf bank, if you have one or have access to one you can move to Pullagh straight away. You know the old saying 'In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is King' well in the land of turf banks the man with two turf banks is King.

dunno bout a pub but the beer always flows down here, would be grand up in your house, pretend your goin to mass and fall home down the hill.
