One more tune seems to be an Irish thing only. Some of my friends claim that it's been around since the dawn of time, but I remember an ad about 10 years ago for the Heineken music festival, there's a busker on the street and some guy is standing there screamin "ONE MORE TUNE! ONE MORE TUNE!". This was the first I heard of it and sort of assumed that's where it started

    I'd ask 11850 but I'm outta credit :p

Not just an Irish thing by any means. I hear it all the time at gigs in australia, particularly festivals.

I have heard people say "One more song". Fail.

Whats the Irish part? saying tune instead of song or shouting out for one more:confused:

Pretty much all the youtube results of it are irish. Also googling "one more tune" brings up the first result as onemoretune.ie

Just because the first time you remember seeing it was on a heineken ad, doesn't mean that was the first.

been to quite a few gigs overseas (living overseas now), and not heard it over here yet, i don't think.

one thing i do miss though, is the random chanting of "olé olé" during instrumentals/quiet moments.

'One more tune' was invented by Greek philosopher Plato in 1983 at a Duran Duran concert. FACT

Wrong - he died in 81 due to an overactive thyroid gland.

Yeah I've heard that in the states. Sounds wrong! They should try "One more lyrical movement"

"One more Tune!" Never works anymore, The DJs have become immune to the drunken chanting when the place is closing

    try "encore" or "Zugabe" :D

Not every little thing in the whole world was invented by the Irish, is an Irish "thing" or has an Irish grandmother/grandfather.

    Get over it.

It's still a regular thing at dance gigs. I remember that ad the OP referred to, funny stuff.
