Call Of Duty WaW - New Multiplayer Map Pack

For all that don't know, a new Multiplayer Map Pack will be coming out For Call Of Duty World At War sometime in March. No date has been announced to the best of my knowledge.

New conflicts are on the horizon for Call of Duty: World at War! We're pleased to introduce the contents of our firstDownloadable Content (DLC) Map Pack for World at War, which includes three new Multiplayer levels, as well as an additional level for the ever-popular bonus Co-Op mode, Nazi Zombies!

• Nightfire

In "Nightfire," players take to the streets of a war-ravaged Berlin with only the flames of the burning city to expose the enemy.

• Station

"Station" offers a bombed out underground train station littered with hidden passageways and destroyed subway cars.

• Knee Deep

"Knee Deep" takes place on the island of Peleliu in a once tranquil village turned chaotic Japanese command center.

• Verrückt (Zombie Asylum)

The fan favorite 4-player co-op Nazi Zombies Bonus Mode returns with "Verrückt," a terrifying Zombie asylum featuring more weapons, perks via the addition of Perks-a-Cola machines, electroshock defenses and the endless zombie horde.

The team has been very quiet regarding details of our DLC until now, and we're so excited to let this content loose. DLC Map Pack #1 is due out in March of '09 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC platforms. More details are soon to come, so be sure to check out CallOfDuty.com for all the latest news and updates regarding CoD:WaW!

Looking pretty swish to me. There's also a screen of Nightfire here. And by the sounds of things "Map Pack #1" means there'll be more to come.

I'm pretty shocked at what they charge for on the PS3.
Things I take for granted being a pc gamer which is why 99% of my games I buy for the pc and not ps3.

Maybe they won't charge for having so many fecking glitches on the multiplayer, I got caught with the lost rank bug straight after I prestiged, so ranked back to zero only good thing is I kept all the weapons, bad thing keep getting muppets asking me how I got the flamethrower when I'm only level 29 :rolleyes:

back up there now lads. theres a glitch that causes you to rank back to zero when you get to level 65? i'm currently on level 63 and i'm looking forward to getting 65. has this been fixed? or does it only happen to some?

You sure your not thinking of the Prestiege option.. You go back to 0 if you prestiege.. Have done it but not sure if it was worth it!

i know about prestige alright. but 2 posts above mine Snake Plisken mentioned something about losing his rank.

its obviously not a big problem so i wont worry about it

I have never heard of that bug. So I'll presume it's pretty uncommon.

I have heard a few saying that has happened them. The patch that came out is supposed to have fixed thatt and all the glitchs where people could go under maps.

Patch has made things much worse people are still able to get under the castle map (I witnessed one on headquarters game I was playing 2nights ago) and we get kicked from games with the error could not get free content pack

Thought they would just die or something if they tried it. But saying that if that keeps happening hopefully people will stop trying after a while.

My mate and I keep getting this error since downloading the new patch... No matter if we play ctf or team deathmatch, to nazi zombies... its very VERY annoying.

A strongly worded email maybe sent....!!!! :D:D:D

The only map we got in the new patch was Makin Day...not a great map anyway..and worse in the day!!!:D

That is the only new map in the update.

This thread isn't about the latest patch, there's a new Map Pack coming out to purchase soon.

Looks like the rest of Europe (except the UK) are getting shafted.. Maps won't be released until next week sometime for us..

What a fat pile of steaming **** this is!! It really pisses me off when i get the email to say the maps are out only to find out its only available to the US & UK..

Sony will have the map pack available in the PlaystationStore later today for PS3 owners. Unfortunately, the European release of Map Pack 1 for the PS3 will not be for another week, except in the UK. SCEE is working hard to make this content available as soon as possible.

Another week to wait - so treyarch hit same issues with SCEE that IW did :rolleyes:

Anyone try downloading from the US store?

Looks like the US maps are region locked and won't work if you download them.. Not sure if its the same for the UK store. Although I have read that your cc address needs to match the billing address.

If you've purchased the game from the US then you will probably have to download the map pack from the US store.

When the map pack came out from COD4 it was region locked which caused alot of problems initially on the EU PSN store because they never advertised it as so. Only when hundreds of people had problems trying to load the maps Sony changed the information on the PSN Store to say what type of disc it would work with and refunded buyers their money. I had the US copy of the game so I got refunded and had to buy it from the US Store.

I also have them and have to say they're quite good. Especially zombies, much harder now, i kept dying every 2 minutes;). The other levels are ok too, knee deep would be my favourite lot of different areas to snipe or run around.:D

A person from England on my friends list has a credit card and downloads loads...He had the COD4 and COD5 maps...I said up a new user on ps3, he gave me his email and password and I signed in as an existing account clicked download and then signed out of the account...Very very handy.They cost a tenner each..So if yiz have somebody in the UK or someone who has a UK account who is willing to trust you with there details ask them..I hardly played them, just got them for the sake of it really.:p

i actually tried this already on my mates uk id, but it didnt work, it might not work all the time be warned. keeps tellin me i dont have the packs even thoug i downloaded them n installed them on my harddrive

Really? I've done this a few times and it has always worked for me are you sure you did everything right, have you downloaded the latest patch for COD5?

yea i defo did it right, i cant understand what the problem is, coz it said install etc complete. now i dunno where it downloaded to, to see if i can run it again. bit of a pain, but it was worth a try, hopefully treyarch just hurry up n get out the maps for us anyway, dont mind having to pay for them, just a bit impatient lol :rolleyes:

As far as i know it saves into the COD:WAW data ''under game data utility'' and the maps should go into there, although it doesn't actually say anything about them. Do you get the message ''username has not got the map pack'' or do they just not come up when you try to play a game?

yea it says something along the lines of map packs disabled gstargra does not have the map packs. i was talking to another mate about this and he tried to download a game to his bro's ps3 from his profile and it wont work for his bro either. so i dunno i was sort of resigning myself to the belief that sony had some protection built in but now im just pure confused lol

Ok i heard that if you delete the COD data from game utility it will erase all your COD data but not your save games which are in another folder. Then if you re-download the map pack as it will say you dont already have them. I've never tried this myself but i heard it can work if the download gets corrupted or something, again it's just a suggestion so only try it if you're 100% on it and know you won't lose your saved games.

downloading now! Its a bit cheeky of them almost forcing players to buy them as I had a couple of teamdeath match games last night and the new maps were coming up automatically, we skipped a couple and another new map would come up in its place, so all the irish lads got booted
