    Hi

Just wondering what the opinion is here rearding sauna suits? Are they a worthwhile tool for helping cut weight or a gimmick?

Depends on what you mean by "cut weight", they help dehydrate you, i.e. loose WATER not FAT. So a boxer might use them, or anybody competing in a weight division. Meant to be quite taxing on the body.

As a fat loss device they are a useless gimmick.

    Like the pic. :)
I've seen them used in a professional sense for weight cutting like you mentioned with boxers et al. My problem is that I've plateaued with regards reducing body fat, so I got to wondering whether the sauna suit might help. Thanks for the help.

rudabub is right, there not for fat loss, just short term water weight loss for sports that require weigh ins...

Getting into a sauna to cut weight = alarm bells IMO and depending on how long before competition your weigh in is, can cost you a fight. If you're not losing fat, but think you should be, then I'd say post up your diet and activity levels here and people will help you out.
