For £1 more you can get the 16GB Integral which, according to some of the hotukdeals.com posters, has faster read and write speeds:

3meg write speeds? christ that's brutal.
would take hours to copy movies across to that..
i keep explaining to people to get a fast usb stick..it's worth the cash for the time savings you get
for example my 8gb corsair. about €80 to buy due to it using SLC flash memory..I can copy 8gbs to it if needed in about 9 mins.
On the integral one this would take approx 90 mins at least...u really have that much time to waste?

If you check out user reviews of the Integral stick (Play sell the exact same one rebadged as Play) you will see it performs a lot better than the Sandisk mentioned in this thread:

I think the specs mentioned on My Memory are not correct, unless Integral are selling different speed 16GB sticks in identical packaging.

I wasn't describing it as fast, just faster than the Sandisk and thus worth spending an extra £1.

Are you sure you aren't confussing megabits and megabytes here? I can transfer a 7-800mb avi movie file to a cheap 'kinston data traveler' flash drive (3mb/sec write speed, according to the MyMemory site) in somewhere around a minute I would guess.
