I met a lovely German girl on the plane yesterday, she was sitting beside me. Asked here what brings her to Cork. She improving her english by staying with a family from Douglas for 9 months. She was lovely, I should have given her contact details incase she wanted to meet up as she knows no one and family young. Damn! :(

Never know though, Cork small, might bump into her again :)

it could be a facebook party, where everyone just sits around with their laptop/iphone taking stupid pics of themselves and writing on each other's "wall" instead of actually talking in real life even though everyone is in the same room. and of course holding up one tiny bottle of beer and pretending to be really drunk

damn, belgium sucks as a country, why would anyone send you there? it's that ****hole you have to drive through to get from france to holland and it's depressing, so plain, absolutely nothing to do or see there at all. basically Ireland after the Lisbon treaty but without the mountains. just lots of housing estates that all look the same, lots of dogs and people who really like chips.

if you speak dutch to someone from the french-speaking part of belgium or visa versa they get offended
