i take it there was no more ennis dates?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,815 ✭✭✭bantee

I think it was only on twice in Ennis. This could have been switched to Limerick easily enough if the numbers weren't great in Ennis. It was a good game for a Sunday too. Maybe next year.

im just wondering about the 9 qualifiers.. who made the cut etc! was a shame, an enjoyable game that didnt take off.

    I can't wait!! ;)

I was determined to qualify for this when you first announced, it's a great promotion - well done Carfax. Just a shame the Bray 100 league never went ahead after the first game. :(

This is true. Very disappointed that it stopped. Surely whoever won those won't mind as they get the chance to play this freeroll.

Will TVs be available to watch the potential grand slam decider?

Great promotion, great structure, can't wait to play it

Sorry to anyone that missed out on this... ... The player's that did qualify from Ennis and Bray/Wicklow and the player's that are yet to qualify from Dublin and Dundalk will get really great value - I'm estimating that about 10 players of the 36-40 that qualify will not be able to make it to the free-roll on 21st March.

The latest league standings are up in the latest news section on pokerireland.ie... ... I'll post a link when I wake up and get some energy.

As for rugby, lets not get ahead of ourselves just yet. At least wait until tomorrow afternoon before we start mentioning the unmentionable GS

Thanks Stephen, anyone that misses this freeroll should have their head examined, great service from all at pokerireland.

We're going to do it this year, and I'll be able to tell my kids that I didn't see the match cause I was winning a ticket for the IO (which I won outright of course)

How many are you expecting in Dundalk Stephen. I'm defo playin this. I need 7points+ to make the freeroll. Where would I realistically need to finish to qualify?

Only about twenty players mate....I don't want to say how many points will get you there as it all depends on who else is there this Sunday.

    Best of luck.

    Stephen.

There'll have to be coverage of this match! It would be a bit of a distraction all right but can't be running in and out!! :D

Little bit of bumpage for this as this Sunday's Dublin 100 is the last chance to qualify....

Will update the league properly later as I'm trying to get organised to watch the Liverpool match later (not that it will be any good :) ).

    Stephen.

Somewhere between 10pm and 11pm finish time expected. I know it will get cagey when it gets down to four players but once its passed that it will obviously be finished straight away....

Also, anyone on here from PPP, I am looking to get in contact to make arrangements for payment on these three tickets.....Mobile is 0872424626.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

Just to let everyone know that I am offering a cash alternative to the ticket...One or two players asked me about this as they are not in the country over the Easter weekend.....The cash alternative will be slightly less than the €3,500 value of the actual ticket.

At the moment we're having to add over €5,000 to the league prize fund. Just want to make you all aware so that you appreciate us that little bit more :)

    Stephen.

We all know how great you are Stephen and we appreciate all the work you're putting into this :)

And BTW, if anyone is talking to my other half, there's no cash alternative, I'll have to play in the Irish Open after I win the ticket at the weekend

Thats very good of you Stephen, cheers! ;) I'll be taking a ticket!

I'll even offer to wear a pokerireland t-shirt or such attire while playing in the IO, once it has been washed before hand of course

Don't suppose theres any chance of bringing this forward a bit to about noon or so, its clashing pretty bad with the rugby

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 567 ✭✭✭Maddogg

Carfax! so is there still no chance of me letting someone else play in my seat?

here is a another question for any players that have made the freeroll.........if you got to the final four would you split the 3 tickets and pay roughly €875 each for a seat at the IO????? just throwing it out there!!! i think i would!!

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,036 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Just putting my own 2 cents in, but I always hate when other people play for people in league finals, usually in league finals people will know each other and can act accordingly, when a complete unknown is thrown in it changes a few dynamics.

Also, I'm winning a ticket on Saturday, so it'd be up to the other 3 players to know if they want to split the other 2 tickets or not, as I said earlier in the thread :)

I have to admit that I'm really looking forward to this event now (thanks Stephen) I just hope I don't go out on the first level after driving up

No fear of going out early, since you are going to win a ticket! :D

Not looking frward to the drive up either, even thinking of maybe getn the train instead.

    Hi Ray,

I'm really sorry you're missing this after winning two of our biggest tournaments back to back, but I can't allow substitutes, sorry.

I think this would entirely depend on what my chip stack was like at this stage.......its a tough one!

Depends on the number of runners Damo, if we get 40 then its going to have to stay as it is.

It'll definetly depend on how the table is playing and the chips in play, but sitting at home on my laptop 2 days out, no deals, going for the win, after 8 hours play with a short stack DEAL PLEASE

Its now looking unlikely that I will be able to make this tomorrow, absolutely sickened. Was really looking forward to it too. :(

I was talking to a few of the guy's that are playing this today and they are all keen to have a 10k stack steve. ???????

Im just home from this , and as usual steve has put on a good event . Its just a fkn pity about some of the retarded cnuts that actually qualified for it . While there was some very good and accomplished players there through merit , they must have went through absolute hell to qualify for this with the donkey's that were on display today .

Sorry about the rant steve but as you know by now , i wear my heart on my sleeve ,
i just cant understand how these retarded dummies keep getting rewarded.
BTW please keep running these monthly events as i think they are well run and good value and you deserve better numbers for these.
    Regards.. Damo
