Hi, i have been going to the gym for 4 months now and completly changed my diet and ive lost weight. Im not obease for my age im 20 and i weigh 10st but for some reason im still finding it hard to run on the treadmill, i get out of breath really quickly. I dunno if its the way im breathing or something else.....I can go on the cross trainer without this happening. Any ideas?

I find the cross trainer to be more "assistive" than the treadmill, as the elliptical action of the crosstrainer helps you "glide". With the treadmill you are pushing yourself to keep pace with the rolling road.

What I found worked for me was to build up your stamina over time. Whats the rest of your workout when not on treadmill?

I go on the the bike, treadmill and crosstrainer ever mon, wed and fri. On tue and thu i use the weight machines, free weights, ab ball and rowing machine.

Yea thats probably why, its really embarrassing though to see that other people can stay on there for ages and I gotta stop after about 7 minutes!

Someone that is comfortable at any excercise is not excercising! The point of going to the gym is trying to always exceed your comfort level - so if you're maxed out after a certain amount of time then you should feel good that you are at least reaching your max.

    Stick with it.

For me my excercise to conquer are the pullups. I can barely do 4 with any real conviction!
