Weight Issue

    Hi,

I'm 20 years old and have a slight weight issue. Everytime I gain any weight, it's only and always stored in my ass, thigh and belly, and makes me look deformed thin chest, a little belly, fat arse, and thin legs/arms. I'd like to gain weight and for it to be stored uniformly. I'm male also. Any idea why this is happening, and how I can gain weight. I'm also doing exercises (not weights)...and so am losing weight also (I'd rather not lose weight, but it seems the more I exercise, the more I lose weight). I'd like to gain weight and still exercise at the same time, but at the moment, it's losing weight all the time, and if I do gain it back again, I know it will make me look like I have a belly and a fat arse/thighs. Any idea how to lose weight around the thighs also? Makes me look like I have a slightly feminine body because that's how weight seems to be stored in women.

Also, I try to avoid eating fatty foods also, but I do eat a lot. In the last month, I've lost around 6% of my total weight. Like I said, I'm not a fan of weights, but would do other exercises, any idea what I should/shouldn't eat and how to overcome these issues. I really have no idea how to overcome these issues.

I'm not fat though, just an average guy. Around 5ft 11...and around 12st 2lb's.

howdy! it sounds like you are genetically programmed to store fat in those areas! you diet is the biggest factor that needs to be addressed here! what is your current diet like? eg what would you eat on an average day?

to tone up you could do exercises which do not require weights eg squats, lunges, push up, pull up etc?

dnt mind me asking but is there a reason you are not fond of weights?

Genetically programmed? Damn...so there's nothing I can do.

It's not that I'm not fond of weights, I just prefer alternatives.

Diet: Mainly a healthy one; fruits, veg, milk, cereal in the morning, I have meats during the week, fish...etc.

oh no mate, sorry dont get me wrong, there is loads you can do about it!

What I meant is that when you do put on weight you will be prone to it going to those areas.

About the weights, thats fair enough. If you want to do exercise to lose some weight its better you do exercises that you like!

Walkings great, jogging even better if your into it. Some cardio and the body weight exercises would be perfect for you, they will burn fat and tone muscle!

Check out the better body challenge on this fitness forum. Could be what you need!?

Yeah, I do those exercises already. I would like to gain weight evenly throughout my body like my arms and legs and chest, and lose it in my behind, thighs, and belly.

    Any other info???

    Thanks.

A good balanced weight training program would build all your major muscles.
Giving you a body with the right proportions.

Plus it will increase your metabolism meaning you will burn fat at rest.

Weights are nothing to be intimadated about, im not talking bout bodybuilding here.
