This is a story set in midevil times about the daughter of a medicine woman.
Her name is Mona, and Mona liked to spend her days in a dense tangle forest.
She heard the river sing about the roots for remedy and herbs for medicine.
The forest brought her peace and privacy obscured among the trees.
She used the rivers banks as a path to find her way in and out.
But she only visited during the day
for it was known at night within the forest goblins walked about.
But what she did not know for she had not heard of the Fairy Barrons murder.
Oblivious, Mona terries in the forest as the after noon shadows grow.

The forest began to wake from the shock in whispers
wondering at the murder of their fairy lord

whispers in the wood

But then a goblin captain declared that the murder was the dark plan of the human wizards

why are we idle in wonder

and offshore clouds gathered blocking the sunlight as it set in the west

After running from the bats, Mona lost track of where she was at in the woods.
she know the river was downhill but she was unsure of the slope she was on.
So she decides to accend a peak and climb up a tree to see where the fields lay beyond the forest.

Mona soon finds hereself in the pitch dark.
Blind she walks in half steps her hands outstretched

so the captain makes an argument for mona's capture
claiming she stole the secrets of lavender
as she moans in her catonic burned state for the soothing oils

but still the goblin captain feels compassion for Monas pane
and takes the tinted eyepiece to see during the day
to visit the gravestone of the fairy barron

The silence of the dead

Ultimitely, the captain decides to nurse Mona

What shall I do?

The following day 2 men come to the edge of the woods to rescue Mona
Tim a strong peasant and Will a royal courier.
A priest who had noticed Mona was gone had sent Tim to rescure her when he ask for a sword he found to be blessed. Will had joined Tim in his quest to impress his lady.
When the two men arrived at the woods edge, it was clear the roots where too tangled to take the horses into the woods.
and the courier explained.
