What's that and were did you read Mark Levinson in the ad?

It's a long running gag which is in reference to a user years ago that would brag about the SE-L he had and often referred to the mark Levinson system he had.
It's like a bose sound system in other cars.

Ah. Is that the lad who thought a focus was following him for miles down in Wexford because he couldn't believe he's seen some spec of IS?

59 pages? Wish I knew about this earlier. I'm nearly finished work now :pac:

EDIT: Page 9 so far, so much gold. "But are they Mark Levinson cup holders?" :D

    But worth every minute...

If I remember right he was awfully crass towards your car right?
Funniest part of that thread was the thought of someone in a focus going 80mph to just look at it :)

Think it's good value based on condition, if u want a decent car you need to pay decent money all you get for a few grand is usually scrap. €8k is fair

    €1,391 a year to Tax
    94,000 miles
    Cream interior is now yellow
Car is approaching 20 years old

This IS scrap, the motortax alone means selling this car is going to be impossible in Ireland.

    It's worth about €1,000

Just cause it's been professionally cleaned and looks good in the pics means nothing.
It's old, and that's it. Maybe when it's a classic and you can get the cheap tax on it.. then yes, maybe it'd be worth more. (But that's over 10 years away)
    I hate this.

Show me how it's worth 8k instead.

Because it's not, not even half.

    Exactly!

€8k is over the top, but the wheels alone if mint are worth the guts of a grand.

I'd say it's worth about 4k all in all

In hindsight 8k is madness. 4/5k is proabbly more like it. Nice car either way.

With the potentially fatal engine that's in it and the most idiotic 6th gear you can find I would say 5k is a bit of a stretch even though it has the cheaper tax.

Lets agree to meet in the middle and say €1,000. :D:p

I think could be right about the wheels though
It would be worth more in parts.
Wheels, body work, some of the mechanical components could be worth around €4,000

Interior is gack and the engine wouldn't be worth selling/buying with +90k miles on it.

Voodoomellon got good money for his e38 728 not too long ago.

There are folks out there for them but I just think 8k is too much

Jeez, we get it, you don't like it. But I suppose you're entitled to be wrong if you want to

    Thats just mad stuff...

And in the "Similar Adverts" just underneath his advert, there are two other similar White MR2 MK1s for 2000 and 2750. Granted, he's probably got more work done to his one... but not 57k worth

    It's £5,900 now.

€7500 would be enough for it.

One with say 70-80k would be worth around €7k - €7500. The low mileage doesn’t add €3000 to the value

The NCT disc is my favourite part. Why does it say BMW 3█6 with what looks like a little 1 scribbled over it. Hardly a typo from the NCT office, but hey at least it managed to pass its NCT 6 years ago
