    coming back from Dungloe tonight, I spotted this strange lightness in the sky. It wasnt the reflection of the lights of a town in the sky, but a glimpse of daybreak... but it was at 2.30am! I never saw the start of daybreak this early

    That wouldn't be "northern lights", would it, looks very green.

    no, not the northern lights apparently... I saw those twice before from Donegal... This was the very early stages of the sun appearing, 10 minutes later it was alot brighter and reflecting on the lake thats between Doochary and Dungloe... mighty bizzare looking for 2.30 am
