a little confused here......

    ok so i have being trying to change my lifestyle for the last week, I am 23 16st 5 pounds, 5'11,

    Last week i joined a gym, at the moment due to work i can only go twice a week, For the two hours a week i have one on the staff of the gym with me for the session as my personal trainer.

    I have easily enough being able to stay away from the 'bad foods' i ate. I have cut out bread, potatoes, pasta, starchy foods,

    I really enjoy the workouts in the gym, and i go for a walk of at least 40mins a day, and do some basic cardio squats at home.

    What is really wrecking my head is food.......WHAT TO EAT??
    i am trying to cut my carbs down & up my protein.
    at the mo for breakfast i will eat porridge & egg
    drink at least 2liters water a day drink loads green tea
    to get more protein i have being eating loads of tuna
    chicken & salmon, for dinner & a wrap & salad for lunch

    how much fruit should i eat a day, some people say unlimited
    and others tell me count fruit as my carbs,

    what should i eat straight after a workout, should
    i get some supplement to help my body after??

    what about soup??

    sorry i must sound stupid, i just wanna change my life in a positive way,
    can someone tell me whats good foods to eat if i want to lose weight &
    build muscle.

    Did you say 6st 5lbs at 5'11?

    As in approximately 40kg?

    And you want to lose weight?

    If you really are that tall and that light, please eat every single thing you see that is not nailed down. And feck it, if it is nailed down, rip the nails out and eat it anyways.

    Read the stickies

    If your eating too much your weight will not be dropping

    you should have your body fat checked every week or at the very least get a waist circumference (tape measure) every week.

    Eat oats, all meats, lots of veg and salads (low GI - if you do not know Gi then google) plenty of good fats from olive oil, avocadoes, fish oils, nuts etc.

    Eat no more than 2 piece of fruit a day (for your weight). Banana and a protein drink after a workout will help or just a proper meal will be enough for your goals
