Quiet times in crunch UCD?

    Hi

Is there anybody here who uses crunch in UCD?

I'm just trying to work out what are the quiet times there, particularly in the free weights room. I'm fairly new to free weights so don't want to head down there when it's busy / sweaty / full of posers etc. Plus I'm a girl, so possibly wouldn't be overly welcome :(

I know evenings after about 4 tend to be busy, and lunchtimes too - any more specific advice than this?

    Thanks

    Hey there.

I use Crunch UCD 3 times a week, usually early mornings (student early mornings) from about 10am onwards. Its usually pretty empty and I can pretty much always run through an entire SS session without having to wait for equipment. You might find the benches in front of the dumbbells are busy but thats about it.

As for being a girl, you're perfectly welcome in the free weights room, as is anybody. Anyone who thinks otherwise is only threatened that a girl might outlift them, no one that cares about their own training will care about yours.

Oh and Crunch is always full of posers. 24/7. What do you expect with floor to ceiling mirrors everywhere :pac:

I used to to go in there a while back. As Bobby says it's fine after 10.00am in the morning though not on Saturdays. The early afternoon is also fairly ok.

The weights room is unusable when those 'team' guys appear(not sure whether they're rugby or GAA). You should be able to figure out their routine if you go along for a few weeks and you can avoid them

Early Sunday morning can be very good - but it fills up after 11.00-11.30am. don't be too concerned about the girl thing I've seen some pretty strong girls in that weights room, they can bench serious numbers and anyway people there are generally very friendly
