Hi, since i changed jobs in the new year, my travel has changed where i now get the bus in and out of work. im finding myself by the time i get home im not bothered to go to the gym, i know thats a motivation thing but im seriously considering swapping the way i train.

im thinking of something along the line of :
up at 6.15am, cup of tea and a banana or some toast.
be at northwood for opening at 7am and do an hour or so and shower and home (only live 5mins drive away).

then get the bus into work. i suppose the plus of this is that the training is over and done with and then i have the evening for myself but of course would want to be in bed at a decent time to recover and beat the tiredness etc etc

my main goals are for weight loss as such and toning up mainly.

anyway i know they only person that can answer this is myself as to wether i can stick it or not, but does anybody here train in Northwood at this time?
is there many people there at that time?
    am i kidding myself?

    thanks for listening.

I was going to start training there at 7am in the hope of finding free space in the kip!.

In the past I've found early morning cardio great for weight loss, but I also found that I couldn't lift for sh*t at that hour either (but I'm talking heavy & hardcore so it may not apply to you).

If your going for weight loss I'd suggest a grape fruit (or grape fruit juice) with a cup of black coffee before training, then brekkie afterwards.

    Best of luck with it.

    thanks for the advice!

ive found that problem with equipment myself lately, especially since the new year, you simply cant get onto a machine at between 7 and 8.30pm!

i wouldnt be heavy lifting as youve stated, any routine i do i use the 3 sets by 10 reps system at the moment.

the routine i hope to have is 5 mins warm up on threadmill then
then about 45 mins of weights for a total body workout, dont really want to split my days incase i miss some days some weeks.

grape fruit juice wont be a problem, but i am no coffee drinker! is there anything else i could swap the coffee for?

I train there in the morning sometimes and its perfect !! Hardly anyone there. Especially in the weights section . I get the squat rack without nearly getting into a physical fight over it !! The evening are a little crazy alright !

You can add another 30 mins onto your workout, because Northwood opens at 6.30am,weekdays.

Hi there, are any of ye re joining anytime soon. I was looking for someone to join with to keep the price down. In fairness, its not a bad price if joining on my own ( 350 i think)
