ok guys, i have problems keeping my weight up. ive always been naturally athletic figure wise, but lose weight at an alarming rate.

im always on the go, dont sleep much, and my diet is not what you would call great.

i rarely get the chance to go to the gym. so want a product to help put on weight, mainly around the shoulders and chest, NOT THE BELLY, lol

what product can i get which helps this more effectively????

If you want to put on weight, and not just fat, you need to start going to the gym regularly, and lifting heavy weights

    and get more sleep

No product will make you put on lean mass without going to the gym

and even with a gainer, you'll only add Fat, which will go straight to the problem areas

as with loss, theres no such thing as targeted fat gain

    Post up your diet

you NEED to sleep or you will get a FAT GUT.

sleep is important in weight gain. also if you want to bulk up, lift heavy but eat 8-10 small meals a day

ah thats crap,, what if i was running and cycling, coupled with sit ups and crunches.. i dont have weights at home so thats outta the q...

my diet? i dont have a set one, as i work different shifts and no set agenda...

so at any day, i could go from wakey up time till 4 or 5 surviving on a slice of toast, then again, i could have to make a full meal at 2am..

its diabolical i know. but i do eat healthy food like pasta and eggs and stuff. minimal fatty fries and junk food

I think you really need to have a bit of sit down and think about what you want to achieve first.

Then get realistic about what it will take to achieve it; proper nights sleep, proper training and meal planning with good nutrition. Shift work wont make a different, that's why we have tupperware to keep meals in. I make most of my stuff the night before, or enough for two days. I spend very little time cooking anything.

i would not be able to say, ok, ill train mondays wednesdays and saturdays,, cause i rarely get time to myself, if it is? its for an hour here, an hour there. so the gym wouldnt be any good.

basically, i wanna keep trim, gain some weight around my upper body, and a fair bit of definition.

i used Cell Tech before but it made me piss like racehorse

im 5ft6 or 7 and 9st 13 . i can lose a stone in a week, then i have to eat like a monster to put it back on. im never sitting for more than a few minutes so i dont think the fat gut will be a problem, but i do want my definition back... since i hit 30 this year, its been a slow downhill type of thing

Well it's impossible to gain weight on your chest and shoulders but not your stomach without doing weights. Otherwise you'd be looking at just gaining weight in the plainest sense of the word, all over. Doesn't mean you'd have to have a pot belly but it does mean it'd be an even spread. You don't need a gym, work around your own timetable or whenever you feel like it. Any specific body part only really needs to be worked on primarily once a week anyway. Buy some dumbbells and extra weights, simple exercises like shoulder presses, chest presses, and so on will make a difference. I don't go to the gym either, I just use my own stuff at home. In fact you don't even really need the weights, at the end of the day even push ups, decline push ups, pull ups, and so on are still OK - after all your body doesn't know what you're lifting, it only knows the stress it's being put under. So whether you're lifting iron or a 20kg sack of fluffy pink teddies it's all the same. Obviously if you're huge into bodybuilding that approach doesn't work as well but for someone just looking to gain a little definition....it's not hard and there's really no excuse! If you look on youtube, you will find an infinite amount of intensive exercises using non-conventional weights 'equipment'. In theory 1 or 2 hours a week weights is enough to increase strength and size once done right. More important is actually the nutrition - make sure you're eating plenty of protein and at relatively consistent intervals, every few hours. And eating decently too. Considering the time spent in the gym versus outside it, proper nutrition makes the difference between gym time being worthwhile and worthless.

You're still relying on magic supplements

and thats all they are: supplements
    an add-on to your diet

As you said you want to add muscle around your shoulders, so lift heavy weights and eat lots of clean food consistently

    You could take Amino acids

and if your not gettin enough protein from your diet, try Whey protein shakes

The results will come from lifting and eating consistently, so dont depend on supps to make you bigger

Maybe lay off / reduce your cardio for a bit

you seem to have a v high metabolism

and make sure you get lots of sleep, at least 8 hours a night

its not gonna happen overnight, but if you put in the work and keep at it you should get results

great thanks,, yeah id say im lacking in pretein so ill try the shakes...

the 8 hours a night is out of the question,, not only do i not have time for that, but i never really slept for more than an hour or so anyway... wheres the 24 hr gyms when ya need them ,lol:D

You sound all over the place! How do you expect to put on weight when you don't give your body a chance? I mean if you don't sleep at all and charge around all the time, your body's going to adjust to your lifestyle i.e. it's going to be thin.

I'd suggest you try a little yoga, tai chi, meditation or similar to get your mind sorted before you start downing quick fix supplements. Then and only then, get started on the weights and eating properly

Treadmill will not make you gain weight, you don't see big marathon runners! and sprinters get doing heavy squats in the gym, not sprinting for 10seconds.

A supplement is something not ordinarily in your diet, your diet must be low in variety and/or portions if you are so light. So first things first, full fat milk, peanut butter wholemeal sandwiches, nuts, oats, big helpings all round.

I would also get yourself a chinup bar.
