Sleep Music

When I'm alone, I tend to listen to music on a timer to help quiet my own thoughts so I can sleep. The other night, I didn't turn on the timer so the music was on all night -- and even though it was very soft, I woke up feeling as if I hadn't slept at all.

I was just wondering if anyone else listens to music as they fall asleep. If so, do you notice a difference in the sleep you get with/without music?
