    Hey

I've recently started goin back to the gym and have lost over half a stone in the last few weeks. I usaully swim 750m and do maybe 40 mins in the gym afterwards about two to three times a week. I also go for a 3mile walk instead of doing the latter too.

Im a female, 5'8" and c.72kg. My problem area is definitely my hips and legs. I cant seem to get rid of the weight there. Im what they call a typical pear shape.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can't spot reduce fat in single areas, you should watch your diet which is most important, seeing as you are already exercising.

Half a stone in a few weeks is great going, keep it up and you should be in shape, but do not rush it. You might consider doing some resistance/weight training too which will boost your metabolism.

Agree, just keep going and you'll shift it.

It's no consolation, but the pear shape is a much healthier shape than an apple. Having the excess fat on your bum is much safer for your heart than having it around your waist.
