    Hi guys,

I've posted here about 6 weeks ago looking for advice on my workouts and diet and as per usual you guys have played a blinder with your advice and i have made good gains in fitness levels and amazing losses in weight (fat). I started hittin the gym just after Xmas last year and weighed about 17.5 stone and now weigh bang on 16 stone so thanks to all of those who helped with constructive criticism on my diet and workout.

I had my first PT session last night to try take it to another level and 1 question I forgot to ask was whats my ideal BF%??Or should I have a target?

    I'm 6 ft 1" and obviously 16 stone. My current BF is 21.2%, I'm male (27).

    Thanks in advance.

At 10-15 you would be healthy and feel good, for sports performance under 10 as low as 4-5 even!

My BF was 12ish% for years and i had no bother with sports, so i'd say that's a good area to be around. But maybe being only 17 that might have played a part in it..

I am probably ~16% and would set a target of 10%, any less is not feasible for me really!

It also depends a bit on muscle mass, i.e. if you have 2 twins, one 18stone of solid muscle and another 9 stone but both 4% bodyfat, then it might be a dangerous level for the light guy, since he has only 4% of the already small 9 stone. For this reason bodybuilders survive fine with say 4 BF%, while an anorexic could be very dangerously low at 7 BF%.
