Get it measured again. BPs are notorious for going up and down depending on the time of day etc..
53 is a very low figure for the diastolic rate. The 137 systolic rate is a little high but nothing to worry too much about. If you're a young guy i'd keep an eye on the readings because they usually go up with age so it might be a kind of warning to you.

Up the exercise, cut the salt and reduce your weight.

i do exercise and go to a boxing club but i also drink like a fish and eat whatever whenever including loads of red meat

I thought i was getting away with my bad habits due to how hard i exercise but il have to cut back a bit by the looks of it

You never get away with bad habits. They get you sooner or later. If you're exercising a lot just watch the salt intake (bread and cereals have loads) and keep your weight at a reasonable level. As I said get a recheck - a lot of the Chemists will do BP for €20 or so.

BP fluctuates on lots of factors e.g. time of day, post measurement exertion, stress, fatigue, the process of taking the measurement (can cause some people to get stressed), consistency (is the same person taking it the same way)... getting an accurate measure would involve taking an average over a period of time... 140/90 or higher is the IHF's measurement on when to seek medical advice to investigate any risk of High Blood Pressure

The Irish Heart foundation website isn't working right now... but here is their Factsheet on Blood Pressure [pdf]

When their website comes back up there is lots of info there to read up on:
