Fantastic to see so many teams get behind Tito. Even Madrid made a lovely gesture last night (the shirts, not dropping points).

I really hope Tito is back to full strength soon, but some thing I've been debating now is even when he does come back how likely is he to continue? Health comes first and I am sure the club would wish him well in his long term.

An exhausting job coaching Barca might just be counter productive to his health in general, I know these things happen to allot of people and can happen any body, but it would be sad to see him get worse.

Also, can any body answer me this.
What's going on with Keita? he's been back training with us and players like Cesc and Puyol seem to be suggesting he's available for the club after January??

Good watch, looked at it while waiting for dinner to be served today. Some great goals in it but aswell some ones that I would'nt put in the top 50 goals. Eto'os goal from outside the box with his first touch was great.

It's probably being done before but with the great players barcelona have now where you you rate ronaldinho compared to the current players like inesta and xavi.I left out messi because messi will win hands down.

Ronaldinho could star because he had Van Bronckhorst behind him

Seems allot of clubs are wanting Villa, in particular Chelsea. He doesn't seem the player that joined but that;s mostly because of his injury last season and his lack of first team action since. I do hope we hang onto him until the end of the season at least because if there's one thing last season showed us when it comes to the knock out phases of the Champions league our fixture list does get quiet cramped, having a a player of Villa's quality would be a major boost that we lacked last season

Also, can anyone tell me how Affelay is doing at Shalke? Haven't been able to keep up with them :(

    Almost 600,000 a week:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

As if it was in any doubt, it looks as if Messi will never leave Barca, certainly not during his prime anyway.

Surely it would have been a better prank to say he was accepting the offer.

Anybody know what day the Barca v Rayo Valecano game will be on the weekend of 16/17th of March? I see most of the games are down for the Sundays for the rest of the season. Is that right or is it just on that weekend?

Just a thought...who can/should Barca sign? (I dont mean guys on the bench as Plan B) Theyre so good in so many areas, its hard to see somebody who would improve thier starting team.

A reliable winger. Not that I'd want one. Pedro and Sanchez are underperforming, but I'd like to see tello & villa get more chances too.

Suarez's ability to dribble through players would be useful to a Chelsea style defence..

    Straight swap for Sanchez...:pac:

I'm not sure who could improve their team that is a realistic signing. You could say maybe a centre back but even then there are only a certain amount of centre backs that could possibly be the Barca way.

A winger is probably the weakest area but even then Pedro is very talented, Tello and Sanchez both offer something different and, though he still hasn't found top form after his injury, David Villa is an excellent option. As is Iniesta when they opt to play him wide. Cuenca is also one to be considered for the future and the young lad Delofeu.

The Spanish League, in their infinite wisdom, generally do not release the actual date of a game until 10 days beforehand.

But are Barca due to play a CL game either side of the weekend? If they are you can kind of guess. If the CL game in the week beforehand, good bet the game is Sunday. But if the CL game is a few days after the weekend, good bet it will be Saturday.

Looked into it a bit more. Barca are playing the 2nd leg vs Milan on Tuesday 12th. Barca - Rayo will be on the 16th/17th, then there is an International Break, Spain play Finland on Thursday 21st in Spain.

Hopefully it will be on the Sunday. I won't be arriving in Barcelona until late on Saturday. Cheers for the help.

Great goal from David Villa. I really dont want to see him leave, especially with our other underperforming wingers. Alexis Sanchez looks so disinterested tonight so far

Edit: He just scored another really good goal!

I can't remember who here said it, but Sanchez does appear to be another Walcott at times. Villa definitely making a good case for himself tonight. I'd say at the least his price has gone up. Clinical finishing.

Alves was awful against Espanyol and again is playing poorly. He is wasteful and too casual, needs a good shaking

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,207 ✭✭✭miralize

Alves hasn't been the worst tonight... In general the play is very good. Sanchez with a dive just there. I hate to criticise Barca players but he needs to change something soon

A dive when you're 4/5-0 up against Cordoba at home is not good.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,296 ✭✭✭RandolphEsq

They have clearly taken their foot off the gas and Cordoba are playing football now. Whilst there is nothing to worry about there are players who have something to prove

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,207 ✭✭✭miralize

    Sanchez wtf?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,578 ✭✭✭✭Turtwig

That slip from Alexis just about sums his game up so far. Alves, is looking a lot better than he was earlier in the season. Signs he's returning to his usual self. Guy doesn't stop running! Who'd win the stamina contest himself or Pedro?

He did slip so you could argue he was unlucky but I feel you make your own luck.

Alves has been really off the pace for a long time now and his passing/crossing have gone from bad to worse. I don't know how he made it into the team of the year.

That was some super skill from Thiago to set Fabregas on his way before Sanchez made a sh*te of it.

I really hope that Villa does'nt leave, he's proving again tonight how good of a goal scorer he is.
