Just wondering what you use to keep all your bits and bobs together...

    Old wardrobes?
    under the bed?
    In the sock drawer?

Im getting my mate to custom build a complete system that will hold all my devices, bb's, clothing, helmets and anything else related to airsoft!

Would anyone have an interest in one such system or do you use something else?

Once its ready ill post some pictures...

I have a cupboard full of em.

Asking me where I keep my clothes is a better question.

    Guns are priority number 1!

not to sound to safety brigade but..

on a public forum naming and showing whereabouts you store your airsoft equipment? Hmmm night be the wise choice.

I'll keep my storage to myself :)

I use a toy chest that I had from when I was a kid. I now call it the war chest . It's nearly full though and I can't fit my Steyr SSG in it so I leave that in its case behind the war chest. But I've been thinking of making my own gun cabinet as well. Just don't have the space for one at the moment. Or the money to be honest.

Do you really think so? I suppose it depends on where you live and how many people know that you're into airsoft but is it really that likely that someone is going to track me down to where I live and steel my AEG's etc. or am I being too naive:confused:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,140 ✭✭✭✭TheDoc

yeah no thats i mean, i might be to safety soft
But I'm sure it would be pretty easy for someone to find my address, and alot of people know where i live here already.

I dont know just something about showing where my guns are, or where i keep them, meh im not too pushed.

Although I am designing and making a pull out drawer system , with cut outs in the drawers for my guns, i knew carepntry would pay off in the end somehow :)

Yeah I'm the same actually if I was arsed I'd make it myself but I'm not. So if the price is right/reasonable I'd be interested too.

My currently unfinished storage racks in the attic, bottom drawer is about 4ft long and each one get's slightly shorter as you go up.

There's foam to go onto each shelf which will be cut to hold everything in it's place and then fronts to go onto it all to finish it off.

Buy a few yoga mats for it keith, i use them in all my toolboxes and on my desk in work. I used to but Snap-on liners but the yoga mats are made from the same stuff at a fraction of the cost.,

I have a 12x4 foot display area build into the back wall of my study as I collect guns of all sorts including decomissioned. I also have muskets and dueling Pistols era. 1800's.
The room has a glass front so as I can see all the items from my desk.
I have a seprate alarm on this area along with CCTV.
When I am not at home I have a roller shutter which close's it off and gives added Protection.
I am abit ANAL about my collection and it seemed the best place to also display my growing Airsoft collection (although it may need an extension shortly if I don't stop buying items to go in to it).

Aisoft guns are toys not weapons.

Corner of my room, all aegs propped up against the wall misc kit in a sports bag infront of it, would like a proper setup but a combination of being broke and not arsed put a halt to that lol.

As someone said ikea could be a winner

I am awear about that difference I was refering to my collection as a whole not just my AIRSOFT TOYS.

Any discussion of real steel isn't allowed here, we try very hard to differentiate beween airsoft and real guns (even antiques).

i agree but if he survived the trip he will take on the top of the stairs and the unfortunate stuff that will fall on him ( built in wardrobes and bunk beds have a habit of falling down stairs in my house ... also cordless angle grinders recipricating and circular saws as well. dangerous house i live in) ...... he will be more worried about the fact he will be emptying a bag for life tbh.

Mine is stored all over the house. Just waiting to gather it all into one place/cabinet.

And anyone who wants my stuff can ask my Doberman nicely if they can take it. IF he lets you out with both arms still attached, be grateful.

I was looking at the Lidl magazine today. There is a cabinet-type thingy on sale this Thursday. E50. Might be worth getting for bits and pieces storage.

Thats the one. Ye probably wouldnt get any full stock AEGs in it but for gas, BB's, pistols and the like it could be ok.

I built a rack for holding most of my rifles using magazines mounted to a back plate to hold the rifles by the magwell. It works well but I'd be happier with it if I had the room to build a cabinet to put the rack in (it's holding about 20 rifles). I'd prefer to have them out of sight and protected from dust but right now I'll settle for keeping them off the floor.
My pistols, launchers and anything with an odd mag (like my shotties, L85 and M249) go into flight cases for safety.

mate i use the tubs of the old 35mm rolls of film to stick on the muzzles of mine to keep dust out.....ask any place that does developing and they should have loads in the bin.

I actually have blanking caps for the barrels, I milled a load of them from nylon stock. The dust doesn't worry me, it's just unslightly and tends to invade every nook and cranny.
