Many people on here use it & do you find it benefical etc? Find any side effects from use? Would side effects only apply after using it from longer than a month at a time?

Oh yeah, really bad side effects... extra strength, extra endurance, better recovery. Ok, some people retain a bit of water, but it's only water, so who cares.

Creatine is a very very safe supplement. There is an incredible mass of research on it, both on its own and in combination with other supps. Most people benefit from it, a few don't respond. If it doesn't agree with you, you'll know very quickly.

Ideally take it before and after workouts. Creatine mono works best along with a simple carb like orange juice or some glucose in your PWO shake.

Most supps work best if you cycle them on and off.

Cheers for the info, only started using it but there is a bit negativety surrounding the product on the net media etc. So far I have experienced no ill effects anyway. Any other long term users on here all good opinions of it?

Naturally found in food etcetera. Thing with is though different people get different results from it - some great others less so. This may be down to their diet. Only thing to do imo is drink plenty of fluids - I used to drink a pint of water every time I took 5grams.

I have known people to take 50grams per day for weeks! No issues or so they said, no extra benefit either though but people will do what the want regardless of the info supplied!

have used it on and off for years, no real side effects except for an upset stomach a few times, really only happens when i start taking it after a lay off.

recover better from training and gain bout half stone of bodyweight on each cycle (mostly water) but allows me to lift heavier weights, heavier weights = more mass

I've used it on and off for years too and i've noticed almost no discrenable difference apart from stomach bloating.
I noticed no increse in strength, size or anything else.
In my opionion its not worth the dosh.

Creatine is a highly potent steroid that will make your testicles shrink and your hair fall out.

It can also be absorbed through the skin, that's what olympic weightlifters put on their hands before the event.

It will lead to uncontrollable rage, and a permanantly violent temperament.

It alters the cell composition in your body and can lead to irrepairable liver damage (especially Cell-Tech Hardcore).

Nah seriously you'll be grand, you might see a 5-10% increase in performance/recovery but that's it. You'd get about a gram of creatine from an 8oz steak, don't worry about the horror stories. Most of it is just made up, exactly like those above

i find it better to take 5grams a day

    i dont bother loading

i read after 3 weeks those who loaded and those who didnt had equal amount stored in their bodies

too much will certaintly dehydrate you

may also cause gastro intestinal problems in very sensitive individulals

Hi Lads, just wondering are the tablet form of creatine any less effective than the powder form, and what brand of tablet form can anyone recommend?

Jimmy, can you stick your question in the stickied supplements thread? Cheers.
