Looking for ideas on the best way to lose a slight belly.

I'm male, 25, just over 13 stone, slim but have a slight belly.

Been in trainin for a month now. I do a 45 minute run on treadmill every second day and the days in between I do weights. Every moring monday to friday I do 4 sets of ab crunchs that work lower abs.

My diet is normal, I dont eat much crap, have plenty of water and fruit etc.

Is it just a thing that takes a long time(months to years) There are time I look down and think this friggin belly hasent gotten one bit smaller.

u seem to be doing all the right things, just pribably not doing them long enough

    if ur diets in check
ur running 4 times a week
lifting weights 3 times a week
and doing situps 5 times a week

ur already doing more than momst people who come to get advice

try increasing the intensity or else eating a bit less

or both! if u really want fast results

Sit-up could remove belly, jog every morning then try sit-ups about 50-60 counts a day.. Rückführung

sorry but thats rubbish! doing 50 - 60 situps a day will do very little to shift a belly, to do that you need to drop bf levels! as another poster mentioned, improve diet and up the intensity + duration of exercise or both .. If you are doing 45 minutes running every other day and you are pushing yourself then chances are your diet isnt 100% if your not seeing results

Don't forget....it takes a while going on and it takes a while coming off. Stick with it.

I'd say post up your average days diet (and how many calories you think it is) and that might help us to guide you a bit.

I'm gonna go un pc here and say you are doing a lot wrong.

Swap your run for interval training you'll notice the difference within 2 weeks.

Stop doing ab crunches they'll do nothing to get rid of belly fat.

Normal diet??? if you are eating too low calorie then you will just lose muscle not fat which will make losing fat even harder. post up exactly what you eat.

What weights do you do? Need more specifics for all we know you could be using 1kg dbells and doing high rep stuff.

If what you are doing now isn't working you need to change it.

I agree with all that except for burning muscle instead of fat- thats a myth and applies to near famine conditions only! Yea wat weights programme are u doing?

Belly is a bitch of a thing to get rid of.
Generally you'll see loses everywhere else first and it seems to be taking forever.
Stick with your programme and the new delhi will come off,it just takes time.

8 posts in and we haven't seen your diet.

If you give vague info you'll get vague replies. If you want help then list a typical days eating & drinking.

Don't mind the keto diet bit IMO that's where your results are coming from not the low intensity cardio. But hey don't change a winning combo!! How much have you lost now G?

Sorry I havent replied earlier, thanks for the replies, here is my routine.

I train everyday, rotating weights, run, weights, run etc. I run for 45 mins at a good pace. The weights, I do split training. Lets say its monday, chest and back, then wednesday, legs and tricpes, and then friday biceps and shoulders. I like that setup as I can really go to town on chest, triceps and biceps by leaving them seperate so my arms dont tire too much. All my weights are done in the same manner, I do 4 different weights exercises for a particular body part with 3 sets of like 10 to 12 reps, the weight will be too heavy to lift after this number of reps usually.

My diet is normal enough. I dont eat any crap but I dont go out of my way to have a bodybuilders diet either. On the days I do train I take a BSN True Mass shake, will probaly start taking that everyday now.

I'll try to give ya a better idea- i have a bowl of porridge in morning or else a bowl of cereal. Whe Im in college all I really have is sandwichs, so I dont reall have a whole lot of food on busy days whic I know is bad if ya wanna gain muscle. I have 2 apples and 2 bananas during the day. In the evening I generally ahve a good sized meal and always try to get alot of protein in and a true mass shake on weights days, gonna take that everyday now I think. The the day is sprinkled with cups of tea with 2 sugars and maybe the odd bun or somethin but generally no crap

Sorry mate but there is some crap in that diet. Most cereals are crap, as are buns and suger in your tea.Try eating 6 meals a day, protein in everyone and all your carbs in the form of low GI complex carbs.

This will prevent snacking and keep you fuller for longer. That in conjunction with your exercise progam and the weight will come off.

Just cutting out the bread from your diet is an easy way to improve it dramatically imo.

BSN True MASS????? You want to lose your belly and yet you are taking a mass gainer? Stick to plain whey & casien shakes. Lose the belly then concentrate on gaining size if that's what you want. Mind you as you say you don't eat a 'bodybuilders' diet then gaining muscle will be tricky to say the least.
