I bought a new car back in July of last year, and for the first time, I decided to go with the infra-red controls, which fit into the steering wheel.

These controls are battery operated. When I bought these controls from Motability Ireland, I was told that the battery life should be up to a year. However, I have had to change the batteries at least 3 times since I got the device!!?

Are there any other disabled drivers with these controls in their car(s)?? I'd be interested in hearing from you.
