    Hey all.

Right - I'd say there'll only be a few people on here who'll be able to answer (looking at you, Dragan and T-ha!).

Just found out about the AnaCat Protocol there today, and it sounds like something I really wanna do. I'm (as always!) bulking, but I get very conscious of developing the belly. This should help with that.

I'm gonna give it a rattle - Unless its very important, I'm not gonna go into major depth with the macronutrient ratios etc. Just follow it roughly.
As I understand it, this is how it works basically:

After the workout, eat like an animal (normal for me) for the next 24 hours.
After those 24 hours are up, reduce carb intake until the meal before the next workout.
    Rinse and repeat.

If thats wrong, please correct it! I'm aiming for about 1-1.5g protein per lb of bodyweight per day. Should this change?

And how long before the workout should the carb-heavy pre-workout meal be?

Any tips or experiences with it would be excellent :)

    Thanks all!

    JB

Aye, I did read through it. The whole breakdown and numbers kinda fries my brain a bit.

I guess what I'm looking for is AnaCat for Dummies :o

I linked it earlier, I presume you saw it there. Sounds good & logical to me, I can easily go a day gorging a bit and one day of a bit less.

plenty here if you can trawl through them all.

Aye thats where I seen it indeed!

Cheers for the google search. I've been trawling all evening. My head just turns to mush when it comes to numbers and complex breakdowns.

Yeah, you are pretty much spot on dude. It's just about instinctive eating, as opposed to eating because some guy told you that you should. When you feel hungry, eat. If you have a heavy session coming up, eat, if you have just had one , eat some more!!!!

The real trick is to bust you ass during the training sessions and be honest about the carbs when you won't be training that day!

    Best of luck with it!

    Thanks a million everyone! :)

With regards to cardio, what would you advise? I'm thinking 2 x 20/30 minute (TBH I'll prob fail before that time!) high intensity sessions to keep the BF levels down. But I'm worried about burning off any potential gains.
