This reminds me of a guy from back in school, who used to tell the worst lies ever. He told us one day that he stayed with his brother in Dublin for the summer and that over the summer he was with two twins, one was 16 the other was 16 and a half.

he couldn't understand we all burst out laughing and didn't believe him.

I'd like an identical twin sister to help me out during dry spells.

Don't judge me. It's the same egg. It's like having sex with yourself.

I hate to be a twin. I really covet my independance and personal space.

I think you can only have different gender twins when there is two eggs.

    Fraternal twins is the term.

Perhaps you could have a set of hermaphrodite twins though...

Can we get clarification on this?

As for the hermaphrodite thing, I'd just **** myself.

Although a couple of hermaphrodites having sex. I'd pay to see that.

Xzanti is a hot chick apparently. It's the internet, so you can never be too sure.

I'm a twin. Pretty sure i'm the evil one. Even have facial hair, and you know that's how you spot the evil twin. That and the uneven patio / locked room no one must ever enter...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,216 ✭✭✭✭monkeyfudge

Facial hair only counts for evil mirror universe versions of yourself.

Yep, identical twins are clones, fraternal ones are different eggs (whether different sexes or not).

I went to school with "twins" - one black, one white. Puzzled me a lot :) Never wanted to be one though.

This is true.....unless on of you underwent a sexchange.
I think you'd have to wish yourself born a female for that to really work though.

Saw a tabloid article recently about some English couple who are mixed race.
They have two sets of twins and in each case one is black and the other is white.

I'm a twin (of the one womb, two eggs variety) and I have to say it's pretty rockin. I'm closer to my sister than any of my other siblings, maybe just because we were in class together growing up. Plus, we're psychic. Only downside is that once a month I turn into a complete head-wreck.

My friend is a twin so he shares his birthday, not good.
Their birthday is Christmas day, not good at all.
His twin is Down Syndrome, not getting any better.

    Being a twin isn't all roses. :o

Not a joke post, this is genuine.

My poor mother was told I was a twin, then whooopppssyyy at the next scan they told her they'd made a mistake, she still swears I was the evil one and ate the good one..:D

I wouldn't like a twin but If I could clone myself so I could get off work etc would that actually be a twin?
Of course it could all go pear-shaped like Michael Keaton in Multiplicity.:(

I'm a fraternal twin. Think its great, always have someone to hang out with and who understands you better than your other siblings. Wouldn't want to be identical though as it can hard to have your own identity.

I have heard of woman who have lost one of a set of twins so early in pregnancy that they never knew they had twins but supposedly the "twin" that survives feels an inexplicable sense of loss their whole life.
I don't know how that would work though..

A guy goes upto a woman and her two kids and says:
    Are they twins?

    The woman says:
God no, that one is 8 and the other on is 3. Why did you think they were twins?

    The guys says:
Cause I couldn't believe someone fúcked you twice! :P

my dad has a twin sister, they are polar opposites of one another, he is quiet and laidback, she is not

i know a girl who has an identical twin and in college one of my best mates had an identical twin. in school there were two sets of identical twins a year or two ahead of me, all these twins get confusing sometimes :o

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,000 ✭✭✭spinandscribble

i hate being a twin. everyone assumes you're just like them, treating you as a pair and not seeing you as your own person. you're always being compared to each other. i like my sister don't get me wrong i just wish we weren't twins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,159 ✭✭✭✭phasers

My brothers are twins and I'd hate it.

They're best friends, always have each other yada yda yada, but they get less stuff overall at Christmas/birthdays because they get a joint present :pac:

And they never got to go on the school trip abroad because there were 2 of them

This happened to my mum, she lost my twin at 16 weeks. And as strange as it is I do have that "inexplicable sense of loss". Twins run in my family so I'm very likely to have them.....
