only messing, yeah they're pretty cool.
also like RSAG and Bats, pretty good too.
I'm sorry O.P but there are a lot of better Irish bands out there then those you mentioned..
They mightn't be as obvious, but they are there....

Hey there - the music forum might be a better place to discuss the above bands.
for the record the best Irish bands imo are:
    Crayonsmith
    Land Lovers
    Abebisi Shank
    Bats
    Hooray for humans

There are loads more great bands out there who unfortunately arent played on the radio.

Alias Empire (Formerly Dry County) must be there somewhere. Also Villagers are going to be something special.

Huge fan of Dry County, yes.

Accidentally ended up seeing Giveamanakick a while ago, and they were great. I keep meaning to hear more of The Mighty Stef too.

Seconded, I've been trying to think of their name for ages.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,919 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

So a band with one (very average) cover to their name deserves a mention?

    Hmmmm fair enough.

I wouldn't say it's a 'great' cover. It's listenable but hardly gonna set the world alight. they haven't actually done much to the song.
