Fullstop, you shouldn't comment on things you don't understand, it is not a 510cc head, it's model name is 510, it is a 350cc head they are still on sale for around €150 in most golf shops in dublin.

Sorry mate your club is illegal. There were two clubs. The 510 and the R510. The 510 is conforming. Your club is the R510 which has the hot face and is therefore banned. If you look at the banned list your club is on it.

    Regards

The R and A website says there were two versions of the R510, one conforming and one non-conforming.
The non-conforming one has no scorelines in the center of the face

    Great post mate. Fair play.

I just came to post what kagni just said. I had the R510TP, which had the grooves/scorelines in the sweetspot, as did all the legal R5 series, while the non-conforming ones did not. The simple thing would be to include a photo of the face and that way people would know.
    And FYI, I fully understand.

Just noticed you mentioned it's not a 510cc head....was there EVER a 510cc head in any driver...460cc is the maximum you know. What golf shops are still selling these out of interest?

Can anyone tell a complete amateur what advantage the non conforming driver head has and why it was banned ?

The faces were thinner, which gave a 'trampoline' effect as in the ball would spring off the face at greater speed, resulting in longer drives. The drivers now have to be under a certain value of coefficient of restitution, or COR (0.983 I think)

Thanks for the info, I have one of these drivers out in the shed at home, dying to see now if it's the legal version or not ? haven't used it in a long long time.

I was glancing around golfbidder and I came across this:
    http://www.golfbidder.co.uk/product/333930/Scotty_Cameron_Futura.html

And before Canno decides to have a go at me, I have nothing to do with this ad, or the site. I personally have not purchased from that site, but a friend of mine has with no problems. YMMV

Probably a browser issue at your end.. no reason that I know of. Can you see other pictures on adverts.ie?
Assuming windows and internet exploder, while you're on the page, hold ctrl and press f5 I think forces a refresh?
