The + 1.5 thread

A bit of fun, starting with a tenner find a game every day (if possible) with a +1.5 goals bet and try to keep it going for 30 days. Typical odds on PP are about 1.30 for such a bet and 30 successful bets will reach about 26k.

Can it be done?

well im afraid ive had to copy rarnes today as im not an expert on foreign football ive decided to stick with the english games and have gone for over 1.5 in the cardiff v arsenal game @ 1.32 hopefully this will get me kickstarted:o

Heh! Ajax not scoring is almost unheard of. A 0-0 in your game was why I didn't do it - reckoned it would be tight

Notts forest are a good bet tonight. Playing shef wed.

They score and conceed a lot. Wednesday can do the same. 1/3

Stoke and spurs are also another that have goals in their games.

however my banker for tonight is leeds. 26 out of their last 28 games have had 2 or more goals. 2/9

I hope your bets come in but forest score a lot? thay have scored 12 goals in 14 matches @ home in the league and wed have scored 11 in 14 away games. I wouldn't touch it based on this.

What I mean is they are both involved in matches where there are goals.

Forest's last 3 results were 2 2-nil wins and a 3-2 win. Thats 7 goals in 3 matches with an average of 3 goals per game (bet requires 2). Wednesday have consistantly had 2 goals in each match for the past 5 games. Their last match they won 4-1

I know its a bit of fun but please get you facts right before you take one glance at a league table and come up with these statements

Just realised if you do get far, you will be putting thousands on 1 game. To get to €30,000 you will be putting €24,000 on the last game!

Love to be in the situation but not sure I would have the stones if it came to it

stevood, well from the original post it appears you are gonna have to slow down to one selection a day, for 30 days......

Tried to do this last night on Betfair but couldn't finf the market on available game...Leeds v Soutend...Course got greedy & went for +2.5 Game finished 2-0 despite leads been that up after a half an hour!:mad:

I wouldn't have the patience for one a day. If I can see 5 matches in one day thats what i'll do.
Tonight I might go with Hull/West Ham Game. Both can score and definitely concede. Don't fancy much after that. Maybe Celtic!

Last nights Championship programme was missing only one tie (which is tonight) and all but two scored two or more goals. Of course avoiding the two is the problem.

Yeah totally agree but if you include all the foreign leagues also using their lower divisions you have a wealth of games to choose from at the weekends. Might be a bit of fun for a few of us to pick maybe 15-20 matches each over the weekend and give it a go.

The lower leagues do have weaker defences and therefore concede more goals. I'm going to pick 20 this weekend for a punt. I'll post them Friday nite!

i was thinking the same... to be honest if i got near 1k id be happy and might empty the account. but you have to look at it as a 10euro bet!! it seems so easy... 30 games more then 1.5 goal......

I'll prob give it a go too for a laugh myself. I think mixing it with under 3.5/4.5 for games you don't think will have goals may make it easier to find good matches to back.
